What’s involved in a consultation?

At the initial consultation the patient will be interviewed at length, reviewing their health history, current physical condition and lifestyle factors such as diet, stress, emotional concerns, alcohol and tobacco use, sleep, and exercise. Tongue and nail analysis may be used, as well as other tests if necessary. An individual treatment plan is then set up for the patient. If appropriate, referrals to other health care providers may be made.

A treatment plan may consist of:

Dietary changes
This may include the elimination of foods/food groups, eating more whole and unprocessed foods, eliminating additives, preservatives and colourings.

Vitamins, minerals and other dietary supplements
